Lay Antigen Test for COVID-19

The PerGrande BioTech Development SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Detection Kit is designed for the qualitative in vitro determination of SARS-CoV-2 virus antigens (N-protein and S-protein) in the form of a swab sample in the anterio-nasal region (anterior nasal region).

The ANTIGEN lay test simplifies sampling considerably, as the swab can be taken in the anterior nasal region (short nose, “nasal drill test”) at a depth of only 1.5 cm in the nose.

To do this, a sample is taken from the front of the nose and applied to a test cassette. The test works on the lateral flow principle and indicates within 3 minutes whether COVID-19 antigens could be detected in the sample. After 30 minutes, the displayed result is invalid.

These antigens are generally detectable in upper respiratory tract specimens during the acute phase of infection. The Antigen Detection Kit serves as a self-test for medically untrained individuals. It provides fast and reliable test results both at home and in everyday life (schools, kindergartens, workplace, airports, etc.).

Handling of the test result

Please follow the instructions for handling your test result!

POSITIVE: There is currently a suspicion of COVID-19 infection. Please contact your physician/family doctor or local health department immediately. Please follow local guidelines for self-isolation and have a PCR confirmation test performed.
NEGATIVE: Please continue to follow all applicable rules regarding contact with others as well as applicable protective measures – infection may be present even if the test is negative! In case of suspicion, repeat the test after 1-2 days, as coronavirus cannot be accurately detected at all stages of infection.
INVALID: Possibly caused by incorrect test performance – Please repeat the test. If test results remain invalid, contact physician or COVID-19 testing center.
